Four leading contemporary artists convene for a conversation about user-friendly interactive art that by design engages the public through direct access and application. As part of Open Source, the Dufala Brothers and Jonathan Monk have created wildly different new works for Philadelphia, inviting direct, physical interaction from the viewer, and Darin Rowland has worked with Mural Arts and Temple Contemporary to restore ghost signs in Philadelphia. How does this experience of art challenge the viewer and differ from the museum experience? Robert Blackson, director of exhibitions at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, will moderate.
